Yours are shedding just like mine...right down the center of the nose first!
They look great but then your horses always look great.

Boy they sure are gorgeous horses. What do you feed them? Hahahaha, I'd like to know since my trainer says that Buddy can use another 200 lbs. Yikes.

These guys are air ferns! They get bermuda hay with some 3-way mixed in and a little sliver of alfalfa twice a day. I also give them 2 cups of ground flax seeds and a handful of triple crown complete once daily. Triple Crown complete might be a great choice for your boy, Marilyn. It's high fat, low energy. Out of all the grains, Triple Crown is my favorite. A little more pricey then others, but well worth it.! Boy they sure are gorgeous horses. What do you feed them? Hahahaha, I'd like to know since my trainer says that Buddy can use another 200 lbs. Yikes.

Thanks Ali.........
Where do I pick up the flax seeds? Never heard of them. Buddy is now on his alfalpha hay, 2 cups of rice bran each day (1 cup ea meal) and his beet pulp pellets soaked. He gobbles up the beet pulp and rice bran. Oh, he also gets a flake of burmuda hay every evening (1 meal a day of that). He gets 2 flakes of alfalpha in the morning and 2 flakes at night. He also gets 1/2 cup of corn oil poured onto his hay once a day, usually the evening meal. I heard of triple crown complete but didn't know what it is. I thought it was a glorified senior equine with all that molasses which the trainer told me to take him off that (senior equine) because he was being hyper. Hahahaha. Now he's a mellow fellow and is doing well in his lessons.

2 cups? Good to know - been giving Red 1 cup of flax - I have a little grinder in my tack room. Marilyn, I buy my flax at the local coop for about 1.30/lb - any cheaper sources?

You mean I would have to actually GRIND the seed? Oh man..........work, work, work. Hahahaha. I will have to ask at the feed store if they even carry it. If not, I'll have to do some research (dang..more work). Hahahaha.

LOL I don't grind my own flax. I buy it in a big huge bucket pre-ground! Oh and the triple crown complete is a Low Energy/High Fat feed. Thanks Ali......... Where do I pick up the flax seeds?
