Lisa your daughter is the Cutest!!!! I sooooo enjoyed her at the show! Also my Sarge the ancient appy has tumors on his sheath too. I had one removed last year and will have another done this year. They come through it just fine and Gamblers are far less obtrusive than Sarge's. There are creams out there you can get through your vet to treat them topically- they do not work for Sarge as they are an irritant and that old bugger can actually contort himself around to get his gums(no teeth up front LOL) on his sheath and he does more damage than me just leaving them alone and having them removed periodically. It is amazing to watch him as he is well into his 30's and can get his hind leg well up over the back of his neck like a foal! The only advice I have is if they ever need removing do it early in the year before fly season!!!!!!!! I had one removed last year in the summer and keeping flies off of it was a bear!

Hi Tina and Chelsea. Thanks for your kind words. Yes, Faith took all the pics. Well, except the one with her in it.
My vet didn't seem to think that the laser removal would be a big deal. I think Gambler will disagree, but it's good to know they come through it fine.
I just signed Faith up today to take some lessons with a very low-key gal who will help her out with showing this year. She'll just go once a week for a one-on-one lesson and start going to about one show a month through the summer. Sounds like fun.

I don't want her "turnin' and burnin"! She already urges Gambler into a trot or canter if she thinks I'm not looking! :-) She climbed into his manger with him tonight to brush his face as he was eating. It was pretty cute, and it's okay with Gambler, but I need to medicate before she gets any more radical!
:-)

I just have to divide my time. When I am trying to find Levi and see what he is doing (usually pulling a cats tail or digging in the dirt), Faith is taking my lapse in attention and using it for all it's worth. If you had 2 kids, Kristina would be all over Star. I keep waiting to see Faith trotting bareback on Gambler loose in the pasture. Not waiting in a good way, either. I'll bet Kristina is braver than you think when your back is turned. ;D

I forgot this picture. I love it. This is Gambler's "nanny time". He and Sarge both love the filly, but fight over her if they are together, so they have joint custody. Thanks for the offer of your older mare, Cathy. We may just take you up on it. We talked about it a bit this morning and she is ready to go! Gambler is such a wonderful character! But I love the expression on this filly's face! She is Soooooo CUTE!!! ;D She looks so secure, happy and loved. What a lucky little girl to not only have a fabulous Mom (owner) but TWO doddering old men as boyfriends and protectors.
