If I had a horse setup, he'd be at my home! Love this guy. Sounds like he makes up his own games. . .or. . .reliving a bit of his competitive former life. Just an old guy sorting through his memories. . .

It was pretty amazing to watch him. He was definitley stressed in a stall but when he was turned out he was a pretty happy guy. He was stiff and a bit off on his big knee but after a 7 hour trailer ride who can blame him! Hell I was stiff when I got out of the truck too! But the scene Cat described was something to watch....he went into the chutes 3 or 4 times and would turn and shake his head and canter out! What a cool old horse! It made me sad to take him home as if he could have had turnout there I think he would have loved it and to be ridden......he is one of the only horses I have ever been around that I can say honestly LOVES to be ridden. He gets all proud and prances and arches his neck....he must have really been something when he was younger becuase he impresses the hell out of me now as a 28 year old!

He would be SUCH a fun riding horse for a kid who likes a horse with some spirit that is still safe and sane. I bet he would have loved team sorting...the cows are coming tonight and I think I'm going to walk Connor out there and see what he thinks of cows, LOL.

Dally was such a nice old guy! Faith (my daughter) and I finally met him this weekend. He is a proud (in the best sense) soul that knows so much. When you meet him, you will see in his eyes that he is wise and wonderful. Even the blind one. I wish it had worked out for those girls to ride him at NWEC, but he defiinitely seems like the sort that wants to be out in the wide open. I didn't spend too much time with him, but would have spent more if we could.
;D
He's a great guy.
