Rescue Wanted in southern CA

Hey everyone! I am so excited that I found this forum!

My name is Shaunna, I am a trainer located in Southern California that is currently looking for a rescue horse up for adoption.
I am looking for a horse that is unbroke (I need a project for myself).

I am hoping to find one that is under $1000 for adoption, but not sure how likely that is!!

If you know of anything or have any other suggestions, please let me know! I would much rather adopt a horse in need rather than a horse intentially bred for sale - there are too many out there already!

If you don't find one at a rescue you may want to look into picking up a horse at Mike's Auction. The horses go for cheap there and I've heard from a few people that there are Kill Buyers there. What part of So Cal are you in? Good luck!

I may try an auction, but honestly, I think it may be VERY hard for me to not get emotional with kill buyers around!

As for TB friends, I wasn't aware they had horses around this area. I will go ahead and contact Joe and see what is around here!
