Saturday, March 7th... Word comes of a Northern California rescue ranch out of business. More than two dozen horses, including several thoroughbreds. The ranch has asked Tbfriends for help. Many of their horses have become thin. A rescue ranch rescuing a rescue ranch. The times we live in.
Tbfriends has access to more than 60 horses from foreclosures and private homes. These horses are always free, and we provide transportation. There is a simple screening process. My cell is 530-383-2120 if you can help.
Our transportation team. Stephanie. Jennifer. Georgia. Angela. John & Stacey. Sheldon. And we welcome Jamie, who yesterday did her first hauling job for us. A nice tall 3 horse slant. For those silly warmbloods who tend to be giants. Our horse haulers promise privacy to both old and new owners. Foreclosures are tricky business. We only care about animals, but often politics get in the way. Reason number 58 why I turn to food.
I wrote about the adoption of Supercarchy, mostly because readers of this website request I focus on happy stories. There were dozens of phone calls and letters yesterday, saying good job. And please write more about individual adoptions. Well okay then. Glad to do it.
One day next week I will share with you a letter from the lady who adopted Peanuts, and the love she has for her teenage son.
I will share the story of a young college student who adopted a sight unseen gelding from a ranch foreclosure, and how the gelding has changed her life.
I will write about a family not far from us, and how their new rescued mare is soon foaling. The mare went from unimaginable conditions to swanky paradise. The stuff dreams are made of.
A million stories on a horse rescue ranch. Concentrate on good, and good happens.
Enjoy your we lose an hour sleep tonight Saturday, and be sure to hug your horses. Paul Revere on the oldies station...
