Friday, April 10th... E-mails for both Oscar Award and Zoe have come from all over America. Also Europe. There is a Zoe fan club (membership now at 4) in Austin, Texas. I am caught up on replying to your letters... well almost. We love when you love our horses. Cathy and I save many of your e-mails for our sunset years. Transportation by cane. The front porch with ice tea and Perry Como on the cd player. Talk about stories to tell. We have certainly had our moments...
It took 192 hours (wet phone lines) to load the 4 pictures below. I am far behind on Friday chores. There is employment at another ranch where the big bucks are earned. A feed store visit. Diesel for the tractor. Jessica brought me a white mocha latte, heavy on the whip cream, from Starbucks. This was Tuesday, and I am still wide awake. We deworm our lifetime horses on even months, and it becomes an all day chore trying to catch Raider. A trip to Orchard Supply to replace broken snaps and chains for our water buckets. Horse blankets need cleaning. Our garage needs cleaning. The inside of our house will never be featured on Martha Stewart. Flea drops for dogs and cats. Porky Pig needs her toes trimmed. Cold and gray outside, but honest, this is spring. Over 100 horses filthy with winter gunk. Just like a car wash, we line them up and scrub em down.
So it is off to feed the hungry. If you have recently sent us an e-mail and not received a reply, please resend. Enjoy your Good Friday Friday, and be sure to hug your horses. Microwave pancakes made by Krusteaz. Hot coffee from Peets. On sale at Raleys, Sara Lee peach pies for $2.99 each. Good stuff. A scoop of butter pecan.
