Wednesday, April 15th... This website on and off the air, and a big Thank You to Webmaster Max Wilcox for fixing the mess. Sorry to inform you I have returned. Yet another morning of horse chatter.
For you new readers, Max Wilcox is webmaster to many websites. Max graduates next month from veterinary school. He is also a farrier. Max works on a cattle farm. Trains horses. If Tbfriends experiences technical difficulties, Max is fast on the job. Thinking about his 20 hour days, I get sleepy and search for my couch.
On the subject of internet, you should know about Rap Girl. Easter Sunday, and Rap Girl raised $350.00 to save the life of a young filly race horse. Rap Girl has her own circle of supporters. I was able to speak with Rap Girl on the phone. Her real name is Jessica, and she lives in a town called Pinole. Jessica is a whopping 17 years old. This is the third horse she has helped rescue. She hopes to someday own a large ranch.
On the subject of race horses, later today two more make the long walk up our driveway. A gelding and a filly. We are shoulder to shoulder, hock to hock. Toss an apple in the air, it comes down on a horse.
On the subject of total insanity, we are also taking a thoroughbred gelding from a not so nice person who promises to shoot his animals. We hear from a reliable source his threats are real. The gelding coming to us is young and kind.
On the subject of not so nice people, a young lady is angry because I refused her a horse. She wanted to adopt Sylvan Hill, but later admitted there was no money to care for him. I told her sorry, she could not have a horse. The young lady said I will regret this decision. Promises to bring down Tbfriends. Once again, where is my couch?
On the subject of Tbfriends, thank you very much for your letters and support. I am again behind in computer things, but will soon catch up. Your e-mails offering good thoughts to Fractious Child, Zoe, and Oscar Award mean the world to us. Enjoy your tax day Wednesday, and be sure to hug your horses. Natasha from England on the radio...
