I would highly recommend Barb Apple www.barbapple-horseplay.net/whybarb.shtmlShe was a Parelli instructor for years (before he got all corporate) and has studied with the Dorrance's and Ray Hunt I had a 2 hour private lesson with her last year and it was by far the best use of time and money I have ever spent on a "trainer". The mare we worked with was horribly abused and emaciated and really a "pistol" Barb helped me learn that a lot of the problem was me and not the mare, although she did say that the mare would have hurt someone without intervention. Afterwards that mare and I, who never had any use for each other, forged a strong bond and it was very hard to let her go when it was time. Barb is building a retreat center in Pierce County this year and hopefully will spend more time here in the area. Currently she hosts clinics all over the states and abroad. I have been offered a chance to host a clinic and am thinking of taking them up on it. Please visit her site and if you are interested let me know. I would need 6 - 8 people to make it work
