I was fortunate to be able to find out the entire history of one of my rescue horses, Salty the Wonder Horse. It was a wonderful thing to have his former owners come and visit him. Turns out I had taken a clinic with her in the past-small world! I know a bit of Hank's history, just a bit of how he got where he was-but I would like to know more if I could. I wish you all good luck tracking down your rescue horses past. I also want to give a word of warning "Be careful what you ask for" Sometimes your horse's past will break your heart, so be prepared for the good and the bad. I know that for us Salty's past was a mixed bag...definetly filled with more joy than sorrow.

Hello, I rescued a thoroughbred named Hamlet a year ago. I met Hamlet in 2008 and didn't start learning of his past until this May. I know Ham was rescued by a woman named Barbara at a barn in NY/NJ. After Hamlet was rescued he was trained by a woman named Judy in the dressage and then sold as a jumper to a young girl. He was then picked p by a man named Joe and then my instructor Leslie Falco bought him for Dorian Equestrian Center in Campbell Hall, NY. Hamlet is now boarded at Red Gate Farm in Bloomingburg, NY.
He is about 18-20 years old, dark dappled bay gelding with white on his inside left foot and an off center white patch in his forehead. He has a bit of a sway back and was a skinny boy until I beefed him up a year ago.
If anyone knows him please, PLEASE tell me about him. Thanks.
