Sunny Acres Ranch just purchased this fancy large pony (13.2 hands) from an ad placed by an owner who was getting ready to call the local kill buyer. He said the horse had to go and go now. I was told he was hard to catch, and a bit on the thin side. When I got there to pick him up, he had a halter on that had been on so long it had skinned up his nose and left a raw spot. I had recently taken the lead rope out of my horse trailer for another horse, and was left with nothing to lead him in the trailer with. The owner brought me a piece of baling twine, and he loaded up nicely. While he was on the thin side, he is NOT at all hard to catch. He is a puppy dog, in your back pocket type of horse. He leads well, ties, loads, picks up his feet, and is just in general an all-around good guy who is easy to handle. Dallas has been evaluated under saddle. He is very athletic, but also very obedient. He tacks up quietly, and really tries his best to please his rider. He would be very well suited for 4-H, Pony Club, or as a Hunter/Jumper pony. Dallas has been adopted!

Dallas had his teeth done by a Certified Equine Dentist. The dentist said that his age is 14 years old, and his teeth are in great shape now after having his whole mouth balanced and his huge canines cut down. They were so long, they were interfering with his tongue. He has seen the farrier this past month as well and his hooves are freshly trimmed. He has nice, barefoot feet and stood perfect for his trim. Dallas is an all-around good little guy.

Dallas has went into training to learn how to jump! He has only been there a few days and he is already getting the hang of it. He is going over cross rails and small verticals at this point. The trainer's 11-year-old daughter is riding him and they both think he is just the sweetest thing ever. ;D Here is a new picture of the pretty boy. I should be able to post some jumping pictures soon.
