I got Teddie almost one year ago. On January 10, 2005
She was part of the bucking stock that was at the lot. She was a group adoption horse. I know that these people helped pay her ransom, Sonora, Carrieann, Abbradoo, Countrygirl and I think Zora. To them we are very thankful. (If I left anyone out, please let me know so I can add your name to the list). I have since found out that she is a Throughbred, Quarterhorse and Draft cross. She was bucked at some point as she has a brand on the top of her butt. I also know where she came from.
On March 30, 2005 she had a filly which I named Wind Dancer. Dancer just got back from training with Randall Davis at NWEC. He did a wonderful job with her. I did not have the time to devote to her training and did not want a wild little filly on my hands. Even though I had messed with her daily since she was born. She was turning into a stinker She is now in with my bossy mare Elle. I did not want her to go back with her mom. She knew she could hide behind Teddie and would get out of working. Teddie will be going to Juliane at Serenity Training when a spot opens for her.
There has been more than one day when I thought to myself "What the hell were you thinking taking on a wild rodeo horse.!" The answer is found everyday when I go out to take care of Teddie and she looks at me with those big brown eyes. She does not know what she was saved from, but I do.
This was taken a few months ago, but is one of my favorites.
This is Dancers first time being led by Randall. She now can be calmly led, ties for 30 to 40 minutes, loads into the trailer and lets you pick up her feet. She is such a cutie. As you can see, she is going to be a big girl. And I think Randall is about 6"7' His heighth is definatly an advantage when it comes to working with the horses.
This is one thing I miss about the original board. Bragging about our horses. I hope we can do that here/
