OMG! So sorry this happened.
Wonder what got into her??
I know she LOVES you. I think Symphony will have a few days where she may tell me where to get off and since I am now on the 50 side of my 40s it isn't something I look forward too.

So sorry !!!!!!!!!!!!! What part of your arm did you break? Did you have to drive yourself to the doc or was there someone to help you? I'm really bummed for you. I thought she was way too lazy to buck you off. Take care of yourself girl.

Oh man! No treats for Miss Foxy (cranky) pants for a week!
Are you okay? I hope you heal quickly. That is stinky. When do the docs say you can get up again?

Haha....I can't really blame her too much as it all started with me booting her in the side with my heel when she was being a pain in the butt and ignoring my hands and legs...I finally just gave her a good thump with one heel and off she went.....um, oops? Man can she buck! She just got scared I think...she continued bucking even once I had sailed off... She does love me and doesn't want to hurt me, so I can't be too mad.....she still got carrots today ;D We'll just work on her being less sensitive to leg pressure.... It's actually my elbow joint and not my arm itself, d'oh. ER people couldn't see any breaks on the xrays but there is fluid in the joint and so they said there is probably a fracture of the radial something or other....I have to go to an orthopedic something or other on Monday. Can't bend or straighten that arm completely....d'oh. I'm in a sling now...at least it doesn't hurt if I don't move it. Good thing my head and my cellphone broke my fall....and my hip...and my knee.....and of course my elbow..... This is why helmets are so great.....it was on a hard packed dirt road and I would have cracked my head right open without my trusty helmet. It DENTED my helmet! A dent! Where my head hit the ground And of course it was my right arm....and I'm right handed...double d'oh. Foxy Foxy Foxy....she is still the Princess....it was my own fault. Off to go watch my parents clean her stall (haha, the only good part about being one armed) and buy a new cell phone to replace my poor smashed to bits one....

Tonight was my first ride since Foxy bucked me off. Finally got my arm xrayed this week and they said I am fine and healed and okay to do normal things, like lift saddles and ride crazy rescue horses.
She got lunged under saddle last night and then lunged this morning and then lunged again while saddled this evening before I got on her. I went backwards a bit just in case and did the "baby" standing in the stirrup and leaning over from each side a few times before actually getting on. She seemed fine about it, no major reaction. So I got on and we just walked around and did some turns and circles and loops at a walk for maybe 5 minutes tops before I got off. She nickered at me as I swung off, as usual, so she seemed okay with it all.
I just wanted to get a successful ride under our belt before asking anything major. At least now the last ride she had was uneventful, versus (prior to today) the last ride she had had ended in her blowup and bolting/bucking/etc where I flew right off.
She is still the nicest horse in the universe. Except for the riding issues, of course, but even then she is just a greenie. Best personality though.

Good to hear you are back in the saddle! You know, who knows...she may never do anything like that again. You definitely can't predict what green horses will do. Crossing my fingers it was a one-time event!
