ONE YEAR - When is your anniversary - WE HAVE GOT TO HAVE A BB PARTY!!!!!!!! Talk about miracle (not too mention really hard work and lots and lots of money) transformations! Did you keep a copy of your log that your kept in CBER or is it lost now? I'm telling you - you're a great writing and Princess Foxy's story would make a great book.
That last picture makes me want to cry - Foxy looks so proud, confident, happy, secure, oh . . . and spoiled ;D

January 31st, 2006 I adopted her ;D I didn't actually get her down here until March 26th, but we can have a party in January and in March, haha. She is spoiled spoiled spoiled....here is her spoiled face ;D And one more for good measure: I do have a copy of my old "journal" (and have also been keeping track of more recent things, especially our riding, uh, adventures). Foxy would love a book all about her. After all, she is the DIVA ;D Actually she is sweet and well behaved and doesn't act like a diva at all...unless you count where she thinks everyone should love her and gets offended if I give other horses attention (or treats, god forbid NO do not share treats, do not pass go, do not collect $200) or if other horses are mean to her. Diva Princess FoxyPants

Her website got eaten when my hosting account ran out. D'oh!
The diva princess has been ridden ridden ridden ridden in the last couple weeks. We were at a standstill and I had given her almost a month off.....now I've been doing some serious riding on her and we are making progress. We cantered under saddle for the first time today, just a few strides before I brought her back to a trot, but she did just fine and great and is nice and smooth ;D It was the end of a long long ride, a good hour and a half to two hours long. Got a nice bath afterwards to clean her up and cool her off nicely......someone commented the other day that my horse is always so clean....of course! She is the Princess, after all. The princess must stay clean and sparkling.
She is great.

She looks amazing! I love seeing the before and after shots. She has the sparkle. I remember reading about her progres on the 'other' board. Would love to see some riding pics. Happy to hear you are able to ride, and make great progress under saddle with her!! GOod job

I remember her really well from the lot, and thinking how nicely she was put together. She was one of my picks for a horse that would do well...nice to see she has, with you. She looks wonderful!
Sometimes seeing a horse a bit on the thin side really lets you get a good look at their "frame". You could see she had the potential to be a beauty.

She looks great. She has come such a long way with you. I see so many first time owners get frustrated and give up, I am so glad you hung in there thru the hard part. Shes really really lucky to have you. You have done amazing work with her, you should be proud.

Thanks Mk! To be honest, I was pretty close to giving up for a while in the middle there....I'm so happy I didn't! She is the nicest horse that ever lived. I like to say that we are lucky to have each other because we are a great match....she is the perfect complement to my personality and me to hers. She has fear and trust issues and really needs a low key and more gentle approach. I am a pushover and I can be somewhat timid when I don't know what I'm doing (read: most of the time working with horses, haha) and so we work well together. And I'm stubborn and she gives up easily. I always win! And when I win, she wins....
And she loooooves food and treats and I love to give them...man she would just shoot herself if she ended up in one of those "No treats" homes...I've gotta get a video of her begging for treats. She nickers over and over and over....sounds like beavis and butthead laughing....I like to do it right back to her, and then she does it back to me and then it really IS like Beavis and Butthead laughing. All the other boarders must think we're a pair of looney tunes....
I wish I had had my camera this morning when I got to the barn. She was wearing her new blanket and resting in a huge mound of shavings in her stall. She looked like a princess! All her neighbors were standing around, looking dirty and cold. Not Princess Foxy ;D

What a wonderful story. She surely is a diva of the highest rank! (I've been looking for a "Diva" emoticon and can't find one. Know that we consider her a Queen!

Foxy bucked me off tonight and I broke my arm. She is totally fired as horse of the year.
I see a lot of lunging in her future......
Oh well. Manure happens.
