Lily came to live with me on the 20th day of October 2006. She was saved from shipping to a sad fate in August of 2006. Here she is on the ninth day of her occupation. modified to fix date and typo

Azrael is listed as CBER Sponsored too. Crum, have you bought these horses or are they CBER's horses and still available?

I love this lady-did you decide to keep her?

Lily belongs to CBER still . I am covering all of her expenses. I was given the option of group adopting her after previous adoptions didn't happen for various reasons. However I decided to do a foster to adopt situation with her instead. In her case the final decision on adopting her is actually up to my DP however. I have told her PS that if she should receive serious interest in Lily that she should let me know.

She has "occupied" your barn? :-) The other horses believe it has been a hostile occupation

I've snapped some new pictures of her. They are at www.xyz.com/~cem/horse/horsepict/azrael/day_86/Here is one of them: I'm a little embarrassed by how dirty she looks in the photos. She looked snowy white to the human eye in the same light. Apparently the combination of whatever dirt was on her long fluffy white hair and the camera flash combined to give her a very dirty appearance. modified to add her eyes look really amazing in the full sized version of this photo. The flash made them look like they have a sunrise/sunset in them almost.

I would never have imagined. She looks so sweet and innocent! She is sweet towards people. Apparently she has some sort of grudge against little bay mares. She seems to have called a truce with the bay mare who is stalled on one side of her. However I think hostilities are increasing against the bay mare on the other side of her. She managed to bite this mare the other day through the fence. The bite mark was bad enough I considered calling the vet and getting it stitched I've actually been amazed that the fence and gate that separate the two has held up considering how hard Lily hits it. The other day Lily was standing in one spot and was actually kicking with a nice even rhythm. The bay mare was standing on her side of the fence and ignoring Lily completely. I jokingly told my DP I think Lily is going to get repetitive stress disorder from kicking at her through the fence like that. modified to add a missing word

At least she's sweet to humans. Can you move her to a different stall or give her a constant turnout option? I do love her look. Has she gained some weight? She looks less...uneven...than other pictures I've seen of her. I saw her in WA once before you got her and she is HUGE. Massive, not so much tall, though she's that too, but bulky. Her head manages to still look girly, though. :-)

At least she's sweet to humans. Can you move her to a different stall or give her a constant turnout option? Turnout for her unfortunately means time spent near the fence as close as she can get to the others kicking and biting at them even when they aren't even close. The total indifference towards her displayed by my one mare seems to have finally resulted in her leaving that one alone. I wish the other mare would adopt that policy as well, but she went from trying to be Lily's friend to egging her on. I'm still holding out hope that in time she will get over the animosity towards the others. I originally was going to move her to a different stall, but unfortunately the previous owners of the property apparently owned some sort of variable tape measure so there is at least a 6 inch difference in door widths on a couple of the stall doors. The stall door openings range in width from 3'4" to 4' so she is in the one with the widest door openings. She hasn't gained weight so much as fluff. ;D She has her winter coat in completely now and it is 2-3 inches long in spots. She didn't get it in completely until a month or so after my others. She is hard to photograph because she is so large. Getting all of her into a picture is often a challenge and because of her size perspective often causes her to look disproportionate. The term most nonhorse people have used for her is stout.

She seems so happy to be in her harness. I think that she believes she needs a job.

Nice job fitting the harness, whoever did it. Everything is adjusted just right! I hope she is with Duane Van d**e...he's about the best around. Hmmmmmm, wonder why I'm not allowed to type his whole name? When I send, the board modifies my post.
