What a cutie! Now I'm thinking I better add "cute draft horse" to my wish list!

She looks great! Looks pretty comfy in the harness, too.... there is no way I could ever figure out where all of that leather goes. LOL

Once you've harnessed a few horses it all becomes like anything else: second nature. The trick is in taking it off and putting it on so it can't get turned inside out. And you hang it up a certain way, too, to keep everything straight.
The assorted straps should fall in a certain place and height on the horse's body. and Lily's is perfect. Even the draft falls on the collar in just the right place. AND the collar fits well! Great job, and she looks like she's well used to being in harness.
Crum, have you hitched her and driven her?

Crum, have you hitched her and driven her? She has been hitched and driven. She is an old pro. Very soft and light in the bridle and very eager to please. She matches her partners gait very quickly.

So you've discovered the delights of drafts Any plans to get a second horse so you'll have your own team? Bet if she's that well broke to drive she'll probably go single just fine. Do you have collar, harness, and the rest?

I've known the delights of drafts and driving in general for years. I don't have any plans on getting a second draft horse. Lily goes very well as a single though. I don't have any harness for her. I do have a saddle and bridle that fits her though so I have ridden her. My DP gets a laugh out of watching me try to mount up. I don't have quite the bounce to get up that I used to. When I rode her indoors at the Mane Event she was pretty good. She did get a bit nervous after I had asked her to stop and one of the other horse's in the warm up cantered up behind her fairly close. After that whenever we stopped she wanted to turn around and look behind herself constantly.
